The Living Quran

Allah SWT says in the Holy Quran in Surah Insan verse 2:

76:2 Verily, it is We who have created man out of a drop of sperm intermingled, so that We might try him [in his later life]: and therefore We made him a being endowed with hearing and sight.

Our purpose in Life is to be tested and examined and the end result is the the big assessment that comes on Judgement Day. In the outset Allah has already set our goals and mission in Life. What has happened is we get too instructed with the finery and luxury of life that we begin to steer towards our own failures. In many parts of the Quran including Surah Taubah verse 28:

9:28..And should you fear poverty, then [know that] in time God will enrich you out of His bounty, if He so wills: [39] for, verily, God is all-knowing, wise! "

Allah reminds us that He will sustain us and provide enough for us to achieve prosperity. It is when we have received such property it becomes a test with us. Therefore, Allah has given us a head-start by providing us with our daily sustenance and we just need to fulfil His requirements. We have to ask ourselves have we done what we have been commanded by Allah to accomplish in this world. Allah wants us to uphold the Pillars of Islam and to commit ourselves fervently to those pillars. Allah has decreed that the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad SAW be followed and understood. These are the tools and resources which Allah has provided us to ensure that our final assessment is achievable and we will get flying colours. It should be in the veins of each Muslim to aspire to achieve the highest assessment grade he or she can possibly get from Allah's assessment.

Islam is a living religion and all the laws and guidelines have been stipulated in the Holy Quran. The Holy Quran contains all the information we need to have a successful career, social life, and family life. The Holy Quran also dispenses all the policies that is needed to run a successful State or Country. This is evident in the times of the Uthmani Caliphate and the Ottoman Empire when Islam was the foundation of social, political and economic success.

It is thus important for us to relate to this and aspire to be the best if not the most excellent Muslim we can be. It is all there in the Holy Quran. For some it may be daunting to realise the gravity of it but as Muslims we just need to fulfil the basic steps and that is, to uphold the Pillars of Islam. Be faithful to Allah and His Messenger, perform your daily solah, commit to fasting in Ramadhan, provide zaikat to the needy and attend to Prophet Ibrahim's call to Mecca. Committing to these pillars will ensure our success but only just as this will only provide the credit requirements for the Big Test. It is following the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad SAW which will distinguish those who are distinction holders and mere credit holders in Allah's assessment.

It is advise for you and me to adhere to and to follow strictly. This world is a huge library for us to utilise to formulate our final thesis to be presented to Allah. Only Allah will determine our results in the Day of Reckoning.

Read the Holy Quran, Understand the Holy Quran and Practice the Holy Quran.
